I won the PTO US Open — the biggest race in professional triathlon — held a $100,000 check on the podium, and felt nothing. My identity was my VO2max, my world ranking, my race results. Three burnouts across three careers taught me that pushing through isn't mental toughness — it's nervous system destruction.

So I rode a bike 10,000 kilometers over five and a half months to find out who I was without a number on my chest. I found breathwork on a wooden floor in Nicaragua, and years of stored pressure cracked open. That's when I understood: your nervous system is the operating system that runs everything — and it's trainable. I built Ground so others wouldn't have to figure it out alone.
